The way she stares at me from the picture caught me totally.
I can't help just staring right back at her, the eyes have such great contrast against all the white surfaces.

I think I'll :+fav: this right away.

My gosh! There's something of Shirley Temple in this, combined with a hint of the 1920's here in the U.S. This is beautiful!

Reminds me of Maria in "Metropolis"... her as the pseudo-virgin Mary, not as Vamp-Robot however. This is a beautiful, angelic shot. Wouldn't expect anything less from you!!

Fabulous! I love that overall paleness to the whole photo and the grain really adds well :+favlove: What process did you use to achieve that?

this reminds me the calendar i saw at the bookstore... you know what? i was gonna buy it... but i was with my mom... she would moan at me you know... so i decided to buy it some other day... but then... the very next week when i got there... i found out that it was gone!:p*dead...
but this angel's not bad either... probably i can make a calendar with this for myself hehe;)
*god... i'm terribly talkative today... cuz i'm bored... at work=p

Turned out exquisite, more like.

"Blown out" is such the rage lately, but that *ahem* "movement" is so crazy about high contrast that they throw away their sublime midtones. You've done quite the opposite here. Your "solids" are limited to only where they belong (and where our attention belongs) and everywhere else is lavish luxurious form.

Worth noting, though, that the spaghetti straps are the vital element here. a) They "ground" the image and make the midtones more visually meaningful by comparison. And b) the overt depth created by the left strap and its shadow add a vital authenticity to the image. Without that strap, this could almost be mistaken for an airbrushing (which is a wonderful effect, not a bad one) but instead it forces us to consider/register that this is a photograph, which makes it all the more exciting.

In my experience, I've sometimes found faulty shots to be terribly inspiring for development. I wonder if the lighting led you to a higher place with this one as well? Because it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen you do.
